Fable 2 Game Review

Fable 2 an RPG (role playing game), where you can chose your gender, which you can not do in Fable (the first one). Fable 2 has many game aspects that I love and that they should have kept in the transition to Fable 3 instead of changing. The vendors, the health bar, the experience to earn techniques, the bag used to store books and goods. The books of lore and stories alone were a great part of Fable 2 that did not make the cut for Fable 3. That and many of the social moves and the ability to reproduce. In Fable 2 you can have children with your husband/wife where in Fable 3 you can not. I liked being able to have a baby and come back to see it grown into a child. The story line was also absolutely amazing. It starts out quite tragic but is full of both emotion, comedy, and of course action as it is full of fighting.

Fable 2 is my personal favorite of the series. As I mentioned before, Reaver is in this one as well, introduced in it in fact. If you haven't played a Fable game, you may not know Reaver but if you have, you will be sure to remember him. He is unbearable, and hard to forget. He brings darkness and humor into the game. Enough about Reaver. In Fable 2 there are many quests that can be done, even before you beat the game. Side quests, needed to build the reputation of a hero and get you places in the game.

There are however, downsides to Fable 2. The worst being the way the attributes morph your hero's body. It is to the point of ridiculousness. In Fable 2, strength makes you so buff you look like you'll be Hulk smashing your partner. Will gives you glowing markings all over your body, whether you want them or not. Skill makes you tower over every other villager in the game. Granted if you do not level up your abilities they do not do this, however, unless you level them up you will not beat the game. Beating the game with one attribute alone is nearly impossible, I know I couldn't do it. In fact, skills in all of them are needed to complete the game. Basically, you can't be a pretty girl all the way through like in Fable 3.
