Diablo 3 Game Review

Diablo 3 has a good choice of characters. You can choose from a Demon Hunter, Barbarian, Wizard, Monk, or Witch Doctor and you can choose between genders. With the smithing, randomized dungeons and random/rare drops, it has aspects of games like World of Warcraft. Which is fun, especially if you like games like that. The game play is based upon one story line. This story line has 4 acts, which are a moderate length, if you play through generally fast you can beat around 2 acts in a day.

The catch is you have to beat the story line several times to fully beat the game. There are several modes, starting at normal and ending in inferno. Don't get me wrong, the higher the mode (and difficulty) the harder the game, though you will repeat the same story line of the one game many times. Your armor will change, the gems you can make will change, the monsters get harder, your character gets stronger, and you WILL learn moves all the way till level 60, which is the highest level. The only problem is the story line constantly repeating with the exception of a few rare dungeons that might or might not be open.

Over all, I enjoyed the game and even beating the story line twice or three times wasn't that bad but you can only hear the same stories, and beat the same bosses so many times before it gets mind numbing. I suppose if you are in it for the challenge of the monsters, or finding rare or legendary items, its a great game but if you are in it for an interesting story line, you will only  be able to go through a few modes of difficulty and the same story, characters, main dungeons and bosses so many times before you get bored. The upside, I suppose would be that you can beat the game with many different characters with varying weapons and techniques.

I suppose if you are okay with a forever repeating story line, its a fun game. The people you play with may change, they may battle you, that might be the upside. Comparing strengths with people all over. Maybe its better online, I haven't played it online, this is just from xbox 360 and Playstation 3 experience.
