The Hobbit Book vs Movie

As most fans know The Hobbit takes place before any of the Lord of the Rings. Whether it be book or movie. The Hobbit starts with Bilbo writing in a journal as an old man about his adventures of the youth. Though the book and the movie show many inconsistencies. Anyone who read the books can tell you this.
Of course to make a book that was little over 200 pages into 3 movies you'll have to add filler content that was not originally in the book.

The inconsistencies include:

  • The white orc which was not mentioned in the book
  • Bilbo is polite to the visiting Dwarves
  • The Over Dramatized fight with the Goblin King
  • The Elves did not delay the Dwarves in the book but they do in the movie.
  • The Eagles, they talk in the book.
  • The Eagles talk to the Dwarves after saving them.

Of course, there are probably more I overlooked but those are a few. The movie is obviously a very interesting movie but it does have some inconsistencies. Though, they might have reasoning, making the movie more action packed, however, it probably didn't need to be made into 3 parts. It was dragged out more than it needed to be.

Monsters University Movie Review

Monster's University, was as I'm sure you've heard about the main characters from Monster's Inc. going to college. It is a cute movie for children and teens alike. There is humor in it that is clearly targeted towards the same audience that watched Monsters Inc as children. The movie seems to run smoothly into the Monster's Inc. story line. Though the movie seems to target the same audience it started with it is still a great movie for children as well. Its something a new audience can enjoy as well as the original one, which is quite rare. As the franchise started the movie is comedy based the whole way through. Minus some dramatic scenes of course. The story revolves mainly around Mike and of course Sully is also a big part of it.

I don't see much of a down side to the movie. It has no major flaw in it and its quite the cute little movie. If you were thinking of watching it in the first place, you will more than likely love it. But remember it is still a children's movie. I don't want to give anything away so watch it and find out!

V for Vendetta Movie Review

This is a movie that I just seen today and I was shocked by how impressed I was by it.

V for Vendetta was a very moving movie about a civilian uprising from a corrupt government. It brought the worst of government into view. The lies, the killing, the torture, all of it. The main character being a mysterious masked man only known by the letter V. The movie has all the loved aspects. Action, suspense, mystery, explosions, and even love.

Though the movie is quite on the violent side but with a name like that, there is no surprise there. The surprise was the tear jerking elements of the movie. It showed not only the uprising, the fighting, and the killing but also the feelings and experiences of the people effected by the government. The movie is definitely one that men and women alike can really appreciate.

At first I wasn't sure that I would like the movie. The name sounded like a movie on pure vengeance but it was much more than that. It held a meaning and a significance that I was not expecting. Granted it may not be the movie for everyone but it is sure worth watching if you ask me.
